[Miss Jen](https://playmbt.com/en-us/the-rundown-blog/author/miss-jen) August 14 2025 [fall ball](https://playmbt.com/en-us/the-rundown-blog/tag/fall-ball) # First Time at # Halloween Havoc? ## Tips for Softball Players + Their Fans to Have the Best Weekend Ever   #### **🎃 Softball’s About to Get Spooky: Halloween Havoc Hits the Diamond!** ## [So… it’s your *first* **softball Halloween tournament** - and not just any tournament. You’re diving into the **legendary MBT Halloween Havoc**. 👋🏼 First, welcome! ✌🏼 Second, you’re about to discover why this **fall softball tournament** is the one players and fans just won’t stop talking about. Whether your player is just starting their **8U softball tournament** journey or your family’s been on the field for years, here’s how to make the most of this **spooky softball weekend**. ➡️ Register Here ⬅️](https://tourneymachine.com/Public/Results/Tournament.aspx?IDTournament=h202508071629279264e987a61ac0345) ### 🏴‍☠️ First-Ever Softball Halloween Havoc Lands in McKeesport ### 1️⃣ Lean Into the Halloween Theme This isn’t the weekend for plain uniforms and nothing else. If you’ve got orange socks, pumpkin scrunchies, or a witch hat headband, bring them. **Halloween softball costumes** make the photos pop and add to the **youth sports Halloween fun**. Just make sure they don’t interfere with the game. ### 2️⃣ Pack for All the Fall Things 🍁 September in Western PA can’t make up its mind. Morning hoodie? Afternoon t-shirt? Evening blanket? Yes to all of it. Your **softball tournament packing list** should also include: 🧺 Blankets (bonus points for Halloween patterns) ☕️ A thermos for cider or hot chocolate 🧤 Hand warmers (players get cold in the dugout too) ### 3️⃣ Get in on the Pre-Game Fun The “coin toss” is replaced by **Halloween-themed contests** — silly challenges to decide the HOME team. Players -  it’s pure magic. 🪄 ### 4️⃣ Embrace the Music and Announcers 🎤 Every field has its own soundtrack with **tournament with announcers** on the aux. From our experience, players *love* hearing their names — it’s a confidence boost and a core memory in the making. ### 5️⃣ Bring the “Fans in the Stands” Energy Cheer loud, laugh with the other families, and lean into the fun. This is the kind of **youth softball tournament** where pirates might crash a game, candy might rain from the stands, and dugout dance parties might break out. ### 6️⃣ Snap All the Photos 📸 Take the team pic with the giant trophy (even if you didn’t win it), capture game action, and grab those candid smiles. Want to share them? Post them in our Guest Cam Album! ![Christmas in July](https://playmbt.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Christmas%20in%20July.png?width=500&height=306&name=Christmas%20in%20July.png) Christmas in July ### Christmas Cheer Meets Summer Baseball! 🎄⚾ Festive games, holiday music, big trophies, and summertime fun—McKeesport Baseball Tournaments’ most joyful weekend of the year! If your player comes home smiling, you’ve already won. ## [➡️ Register Here ⬅️](https://tourneymachine.com/Public/Results/Tournament.aspx?IDTournament=h202508071629279264e987a61ac0345) ### Why Play Here? Will it have a giant Halloween trophy your team will talk about all year? Will it have a Pirate Takeover? We’re betting not. #### This is your chance to: 🔥 Fire up your Fall Ball season with something totally different. 🤩 Bond as a team while laughing, competing, and embracing the silly side of sports. 📸 Make the kind of memories that keep your players talking long after the last out.
