🎁 Jamie Brewster-Filotei Christmas Fund
This special tournament connects directly to the Jamie Brewster-Filotei Christmas Fund, an initiative dedicated to bringing holiday magic to local families in need. Jamie, whose passion for her community was unmatched, devoted herself to ensuring that every family experienced the warmth and excitement of Christmas. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others left a lasting impact, and we are honored to continue her mission through this tournament.
"Another friend, Mindy Sturgess, a member of the McKeesport School Board, remembers how Mrs. Filotei recruited and organized the teachers and staff at multiple schools in the district to undertake a special project. Each year, they would select one family from each school to sponsor for Christmas. Sturgess said her friend made sure they got to know the family’s needs. Players and fans can expect for Renzie Park to be decked out in Christmas decorations, teams sporting holiday themed gear, and the unmistakable sounds of seasonal music filling the air. But beyond the fun and friendly competition, this event serves as a powerful reminder that baseball is more than just a game - it’s a platform for bringing people together and making a difference.
How to Spread the Joy
A portion of proceeds from all 2025 McKeesport Baseball Tournaments go to the Jamie Brewster Filotei Christmas Fund, helping to provide gifts, meals, and support for families who need it most during the holiday season.
